Hello, my name is Lilia. I am passionate about playing and teaching piano. I offer private piano lessons throughout San Diego County.
Music is an important part of our life. It helps us to enjoy life fully. Our mind, thoughts and emotions are all essential part of who we are and certain human emotions can only be reached and cultivated through music.
As a piano teacher over 30 years of experience, children who study a musical instrument learn responsibility and discipline, they gain pride in their accomplishments which in turn makes them confident, they learn to think in a logical manner and they perform better in school.
Each and every student is different, so I am working with them very individually, utilizing their character and interest. I work with different ages as early as 4 and 5 years old and teenagers, who are trying to express themselves. I give them an opportunity to play a different styles of music- including Nursery Rhymes, classical, popular, Broadway and easy jazz. I pay attention to develop their learning process: to practice the right way; to judge what and how they are doing; to plan their work in the short and long term; and performing presentation.
Parents also play a huge role in their child music education. Observing lessons and learning along the way will provide any parent with enough ideas and clues how to help their child.
